Volvik launches Crystal Combi
Korea's leading golf brand, Volvik (CEO Hong Seung-seok), is further strengthening its ball lineup with the launch of new products.
Volvik, which is celebrating its 42nd anniversary this year, announced that it will introduce Crystal and Crystal Combination on the 28th. Crystal, the original color ball, will bring a retro vibe to the golf ball market with its Crystal Focus Line and more vibrant colors. The Crystal Combi, also known as a half-and-half ball, boasts pastel colors and visibility with a high-gloss, glossy coating that features Volvik's proprietary technology.
Volvik has long been synonymous with colored balls, breaking the "golf balls are white" stereotype. Now, with the new concept of "color is design", Volvik aims to firmly establish itself as the market leader in color balls.
The highly anticipated Crystal Combination features a three-piece construction with an ionomer cover and comes in four colors (white & yellow, green, pink, and orange). The color of the ball is symmetrical with a 50:50 ratio of white and color, which naturally creates a Dual Color Putting Line, making it easier and more comfortable to aim when putting.
It's not just about color, it's also about functionality. The strong polybutadiene inner core centers the ball in flight for a powerful, straight flight and incredible distance. The soft layer provides a smooth feel and spin retention for precise control. The tough, high-modulus cover also delivers high ball speed performance and increased abrasion resistance to prevent dimple damage.
Another new product, the Crystal, has been revamped in a retro version. Volvik started the color ball craze with the Crystal before it became the best-selling Bead. Just as many industries are revisiting old products with the retro craze, Volvik has renewed Crystal with upgraded features and more vibrant colors.
A Volvik representative said, "Recently, there has been a large influx of golfers centered on Generation MZ, and Crystal and Crystal Combination are products that can meet the tastes of all golfers, from the existing target group to the 2030 generation who seek newness and fun."
